Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique promotes wellbeing, ease of movement, improved poise, balance and coordination. It supports the self-management of health issues such as back pain and neck pain and problems associated with excessive muscle tension and is used by many as a powerful tool for self development; building self awareness, managing stress and improving performance.

Back Pain: The major clinical trail published in The British Medical Journal in 2008 found that one to one lessons in The Alexander Technique from STAT registered teachers have long term benefits for patients with chronic back pain. Read more at The British Medical Journal.

Madelene is a member of The Society of Teachers of The Alexander Technique (STAT) and has been teaching The Alexander Technique since 1997. She works at The Whitstable Osteopathic Practice and also in Deal and Canterbury.
